This is old Blue up at about 10,000 ft at Olive lake, it snowed on us about a 1/2 hour after I took the pic. Fair fishing in it they are a bit small trout, average about 16 inches.
Went over the Goodale pass and then droped down to camp at Grassy Medow to work on the trail going into Peter Pandy Lake.
This is in the Sierra National Forest / John Muir Wilderness.

Going over Goodale Pass at a tad over 11,000 ft looking north west into the Inyo National forest, awesome view. The trail up and over Goodale is not for the faint of heart on a horse, it is hard going for stock, all steep up hill rock and narrow trail, snow makes it a real turd to get through, there has been a fair number of stock lost going over it.
But it's worth it. |
